Mary Sophia Schnitzer Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary S. Schnitzer of Altoona, Florida, who passed away on September 19, 2020, at the age of 88. Mary was predeceased by her father Dr. Ivor Isaac Radnor in 1978 and Phyllis Frances Radnor (Fine) in 1984 both of Birmingham, England . Mary has 1 sister Jill Collins living in Los Angeles, Ca. Mary leaves behind 4 children. Laura Louise Rowe of East Stroudsburg, PA, Glenn Adam Rowe of Clermont, Fl, Lisa Suzanne Rowe of Flemington, NJ and Carl Martin Rowe of Virginia. Mary leaves behind her 4 grandchildren Nicole Rowe, Abigail Gross, Rachel Harris, and Connor Rowe along with her 2 great grandchildren Caleb & Ellie Harris.

Mary grew up in Birmingham, England. She lived in London for awhile and then moved to Johannesburg, South Africa. There she met her new husband Gerhardt C. Rowe. They married and had their first daughter Laura Louise while in South Africa.. Gerhardt then took his new family back to Wisconsin in the United States of America where he was born and raised. Mary spent many years in NJ raising her family and showing her Weimaraner's. Mary ran the family's boarding kennel as well. Later they divorced and in 1981 Mary moved to Mt. Dora, Florida where she then married Henry G. Schnitzer. They led a wonderful life together for over 40 years till her death in 2020.
