She was predeceased by: her parents, John Deppiesse and Johanna "Jennie" Deppiesse; her husband Milton Karrels of Mary's Catholic Church; and her siblings, Leon, Vincent, Everett, Martin Deppiesse, Julia Mueller and Veronica Meyer.

She is survived by: her children, Gerald (Kathy), James (Mary), Eugene (Merrilyn), Janice Depies (Ken), Rita Kissner (Lanny) and Susan Zimdars (Darryl). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
