He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Thomas Byrd; his parents, Andrew Byrd and Mamie Byrd; his son Andrew "Drew" Byrd III; and his brother Carver Byrd.
He is survived by: his daughter Shelly Byrd; his siblings, Robert Byrd (Sylvia) and Gail McGuire (Ron); and his siblings-in-law, Dottie Byrd and Andy Thomas. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
