He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Minard and Charlene Minard. He is survived by: his siblings, John Minard, Mary Mulvihill, Steven Minard and Nancy Minard.

He helped many families when they struggled to make ends meet and provided gifts and donations to make sure that children always had a good Christmas.
