She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Assam of Trinidad; and her grandson Daniel Assam. She is survived by: her children, Linda Khelawan (Patrick), Desmond "Babie" Assam (Jennie), Patsy Young (Jackie), Bernadette Doogarsingh (Henry) and Jerry Assam (Crystal). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
