She was predeceased by: her parents, Francisco Figueroa and Antonia Fernandez; her husband Abraham Nelson Rodriguez; and her siblings, Francisco "Panchin" Figueroa and Carmen "Yully" Figueroa.
She is survived by: her siblings, Mary Figueroa of Queens and Jose "Chieto" Figueroa of Altamonte Springs; and her children, Evelyn Rodriguez (Roman), Abraham "Nelson" Rodriguez, Jr. (Gail), Irving Rodriguez, Lourdes T. Serrano (Stanley), Robert Rodriguez (Anita) and Frank L. Rodriguez (Naomi). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
The family request that in Lieu of Flowers, a donation in Nelida's memory be made to her favorite children's organization: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
