He was predeceased by: his parents, Andy Adkins Sr. and Pearl Hamilton; and his siblings, Gary Adkins, Kay Adkins and Nathalie Leach.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Adkins; his children, Phillip Dale Adkins, Jr. (Sheila) of Dothan, AL, Janet Adkins of Roanoke, VA, Cyndi Talbott (Bill) of Loxahatchee, FL and Jeremy Adkins (Michelle) of Columbus, GA; and his siblings, Michael Stickney (Dawn) of Virgina and Margie Putnam of Michigan. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
