She was predeceased by: her husband James Fortune; her siblings, Herman Barnes, Ernest Barnes, Louise Carter, Alice Mayo and Callie Barnes; and her great grandchildren, Kyle Benefield and Zackery Barnes.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie Gay (Alfred) of Alford, Linda Benefield (Curtis) of Cottondale, Glenda Cogburn of Round Lake, Kathy Hamm of Round Lake, Rene Mathis (David) of Alford and Thelma Barnes (Garry) of Round Lake; and her sister Evelyn Syfrett of Round Lake. She is also survived by children; 37 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
