He was predeceased by: his daughter Miriam Elaine Shutes; his granddaughter Kathryn Michaela Crosby; and his sons-in-law, Michael D. Crosby and Bill D. Moreland. He is survived by: his grandparents, Gordon Lee Shutes, Mamie Lash Shutes and Laney Love Arnold Fennell; his sister Muriel Shutes Baxley of Lynn Haven; his children, Jennifer Shutes Crosby Moreland of Atlanta, Brenda Shutes Reed of Panama City and Fredda Williams Shutes of Panama City; his sister-in-law Aletta Shutes; his grandchildren, Amanda Reed Hodges (Brian) and Brandon Reed; his great grandchildren, Alexis Reed of Panama City and Briana Hodges of Panama City; and also Tallahassee. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
