It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willie James Jacobs (Alachua, Florida), who passed away on January 31, 2021, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son Willie James Jacobs, Jr.; and his siblings, Leverne Jacobs and Lucy Welch. He is survived by: his wife Retia Jacobs of Archer, FL; his children, Yarnell Jacobs Asia Williams (Toni) of Gainesville, FL, Chaddrick Jacobs of Alachua, Natasha Ross (Ricky) of Alachua, Jarvlin Vann and Jamari Parks; his goddaughter Jamia Wilcox of Archer, FL; and his siblings, Rev. Charles Jacobs (Linda) of Gainesville, FL, Deacon Elzie Jacobs (Francina) of Gainesville, FL, Betty Jacobs of Gainesville, FL and Diane Jacobs. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
Social distancing and wearing facial masks are recommended by the CDC and the Alachua County Emergency Order, 2020-50.
