He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Raymond Perkins; his wife Venecia; his mother Louise Perkins; his sons, David Perkins (Whitney) and Jeremy Perkins (Kelly); and his grandchildren, Linda, Cameron, Noah, Kira, Christopher, Seth, Christian, Lauren, Luke and Elijah.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the North Florida Humane Society, 4205 NW 6th St., Gainesville, FL 32609.
