Joseph Fries Obituary
Joseph M. Fries passed away on Friday, May 14th, 2021.
Born in 1981 to Lyman Poodry and Catherine McEntire, Joe, to all who knew him, was a selfless, hardworking, and caring man, who touched the lives of all who knew him.
He married his soulmate, Leslie Nicole Fries and was a devoted father to his two incredible children, Brooke and Caleb Fries. Joe was completely dedicated to his wife and kids in all aspects of their lives. His family was his greatest treasure!
He worked as a construction superintendent for WH Bass, based out of GA. He was a hard worker and was known to take on several projects at a time. Joseph enjoyed playing pool and being with his family and friends. He had several inside jokes with his children (A'hoy out there matey's; Oh Yeah's!). He was charming and a jokester for sure. He was a friendly person, a social butterfly if you will, who could light up a room. He will be remembered as an awesome cook, grillmaster, and someone who would not allow you to leave without a full belly. Joseph was one of the kindest people you will ever meet. He wore his heart on his sleeve and always told you the truth, even if it wasn't what you wanted to hear.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lyman Poodry; grandparents, Paul and Catherine Fries; aunt, Nancy Perrello.
He will be sorely missed and survived by his loving wife, Leslie Nicole Fries; children, Brooke and Caleb Fries; mother, Catherine McEntire (husband Rick); sister, Christyn Griffin; brother, Dennis Reeb II; Uncle, Joseph Fries (wife Brenda); niece, Savannah Griffin; and several cousins.
A 'Celebration of Life' will be held in lieu of a funeral service on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. ET at Blair's Pool Hall, 15981 NW US Hwy 441, Alachua, FL 32615.
