He was predeceased by: his father Elijah Lawrence; his siblings, Hazel Darling, Doris Darling, Thelma Martin Massey, Ruth Marie Darling Semans, Myrtle Darling Wilkins, Bernard Darling and Donald Darling; and his pet Stormy.
He is survived by: his daughters, Gwendolyn "Wendy" Escalante (Alberto) of Clermont, FL and Elizabeth "Betsy" Chaney (Josh) of Camden-Wyoming; his grandsons, Noah Michael Chaney and Jacob Russell Chaney of Camden-Wyoming; and his sister Frances D. Moore (Sandra Furr) of Viola. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
