He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles R. Harkins and Nellie Harkins (Elliott); his significant other Marie Harkins (Vignola); his sisters, Ruth Turner (Harkins) and Helen Slanina (Harkins); and his son William F. Harkins, Jr..
He is survived by: his daughter Kathryn "Kim" Rizzo (John); his sisters, Ruth A. Harkins, Marie Gemmola and Thomas C. Harkins (Francine); his grandchildren, John Paul, Mark, Stephen Rizzo and Jaclyn Harkins; and his great grandchildren, Sarah, Natalie, Lucas, Erin, Alexander, Edward and Joseph.
A Mass was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Catherine of Siena Parish (2503 Centerville Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808). Viewing was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Catherine of Siena Church (2503 Centerville Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at the All Saints Cemetery (6001 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington, DE 19808).
