We bid farewell to William J. Handlin of Wilmington, Delaware, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 8, 2024 at the age of 93. William touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Handlin and Mary Handlin (McFarland); his wife Kathryn A. Handlin; his son-in-law Doug Wilson; his grandson Christopher Wilson; and his siblings, Harry Handlin and Barbara Blakely.
He is survived by: his children, Bill Handlin (Tina), Jeanmarie Walsh (Jack), Sean Handlin (Gina) and Mary Kay Wilson; his grandchildren, Billy, Jenny, Michael, Ryan, Lindsey, Kelsey, Kara, Matt, Erin of Caitlin, DJ, Emily and Nate; and his great grandchildren, Connor, Ava, Danny, Evie, Emery, Brooks, Brayden, Grace, Hayden, Alessia, McKenna, Hadley, Nolan, Amileo, Cruz and Keegan.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Doherty Funeral Home - Pike Creek (3200 Limestone Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at the All Saints Cemetery (6001 Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington, DE 19808).
