Wesley E. Govan Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wesley E. Govan (Wilmington, Delaware), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 31, 2024 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Eirthley Govan, Sr.; and his siblings, Amelia McDaniels, Harold Stinson, Joseph Govan, Eva Huron, Judith Murray and Brenda Kay Allen.
He is survived by: his children, Wes-Lay Favors, Cherron Watson and Kia Watson; his grandchildren, Alysia Rider-Watson, Saniyah Watson, Jerron Watson Kiana (Marwa) and Briana Watson; and his siblings, Eirthley Govan, Jr., Henry Govan (Gail), Dwayne Govan (Arlene), Joe Nathan Govan, Israel Govan (Kim), Chris Govan (Jewel), Sedrick Gocan and Barbara Driggins (Cornelius). He is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Congo Funeral Home (2317 N Market St, Wilmington, DE 19802). A memorial service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
