He was predeceased by: his parents, Domenico Pelaia and Prudenza Pelaia (Massaria); his siblings, Philomena Caruso (Nicholas), Joseph Pelaia (Franca), Rose Pelaia, Elizabeth Pelaia (Alice) and Francis Pelaia; and his son-in-law Stephen R. DiGiovanni.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Rose L. Pelaia (Mercuri); his children, Thomas A. Pelaia II (Maolian) and Josephine DiGiovanni; and his sister Theresa Pelaia. He is also survived by four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; six nephews; and one niece.
In lieu of flowers, the Pelaia family requests memorial contributions be made in Thomas's name to St. John the Beloved Catholic Church.
