In the sacred silence of farewell, Suzanne is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Harvey Hayes and Helen Hayes of Richardson Park; her children, Anne W. Anastasia of North Wilmington and Dr. J. Adam Shoemaker (Amy) of Tampa; and her grandchildren, Slightly, Gail, James Shoemaker, Elena and James Anastasia.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calendar Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home (212 E Justis St, Wilmington, DE 19804). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home (212 E Justis St, Wilmington, DE 19804).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests sending a donation in her name to the Sunday Breakfast Mission or planting a tree in her memory.
