She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold John Kiessling and Mary Lucille Kiessling; her daughter Diane Marie Schmidt; and her siblings, Arnold Kiessling, Max Kiessling, Mary Harlin, Patricia Sharpe, Francis "Bud" Kiessling, Joan Brandenburg and Judy Harlin.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Louis "Charlie" Schmidt; her children, Christopher Schmidt of Bridgeville, PA, Carolyn Love (David) of Yorkville, IL, Annette Pic (Christopher) of Wilmington, DE and Daniel Schmidt of Grand Rapids, MI; her siblings, Nancy Kiessling Metty of Texas, Terrance "Terry" Kiessling of Ohio and David Kiessling of South Carolina; her grandchildren, Sarah (Daniel), Joshua, Jacob Love, Dan Schmidt, Andrew Pic (Kristin), Ryan Pic, Rebeca Sabad (Grant), David Pic, Ellen, Sean, Lillyn and Ashlyn Schmidt; and her great grandchild Mason Pic. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church (25236 Coastal Blvd, Onley, VA 23418). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at the Fairview Lawn Cemetery (42 Hill St, Onancock, VA 23417).
