She is survived by: her friend Howard C. Carter, Sr.; her children, Rita Mae Emory and Howard C. Carter, Jr.; her grandchildren, Donna Kellam (Darin) and Anthony Carter; her sisters-in-law, Ann Rogers and Geldine Watson; her nieces, Sharon and Rhonda Rogers; and also Lavina Smith. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren.
