With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Phyllis Tampanello of Wilmington, Delaware, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 1, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Agnes Hobbs and Harold Hobbs; and her husband Michael Joseph Tampanello. She is survived by: her children, Nancy, Russell Smith, Susan, Bill Browne, Michael Jr. and Linda Tampanello; her grandchildren, Stephanie Tadley (Tom), Brendan Shea, Billy Browne, Chris Browne, Russell Smith Jr. and Michael Smith; and her great grandchildren, Ella and Brooks Tadley.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Catherine of Siena Church (2505 Centerville Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church (2503 Centerville Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Faithful Friends, 165 Airport Rd, New Castle, DE 19720.
