It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Philip Angelo Saggione Jr. of Wilmington, Delaware, who passed away on January 17, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Elizabeth (Juliano) and Philip Angelo Saggione, Sr.; his wife Rose M. Saggione (Celano); his siblings, Anthony Saggione (Buddy), Margaret Taylor and Theresa DiTomasso; and his close friend Leo Papili.
He is survived by: his children, Philip A. III (Phyllis), Joseph (Susan), Michael (Judy), Rose Marie and Mary Ann Kryspin (Jerry); his grandchildren, Gina (Tripp), Philip IV (Kim), Joseph II (Stephanie), Daniel (Lori), Melissa, Michael Jr., Christina (Michael), Amy (Ron), Mark (Mackenzi), Jamie (Ashley), Jerry Jr. and Amanda; his great grandchildren, Trevor, Maddi, Dominic, Jake, Kylie, Khloe, Emma, Gabby, Lydia, Irene, Leo, Nicholas, Madison, Mia, Ava, Jordan, Haylie, Naomi, Amy, Emaleigh, Meadow, Camren, Sophia, Avery, Jerry III, Jonny, Allison and Colin; his great great grandchild Kinnleigh; his sister Anna Marie Leo; and his sister-in-law Nancy DiVirgilio. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the St. Elizabeth Church (809 S Broom St, Wilmington, DE 19805). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Catholic Charities, Catholic Diocese of Wilmington P.O. Box 2030 Wilmington, DE 19899.
