With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marvin R. Swanson Jr. (Wilmington, Delaware), who passed away on November 13, 2024 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Swanson Sr. and Ruth Swanson (Scott); his brother Richard; his grandson Mahki; and his nephew Kenneth Swanson.
He is survived by: his wife Octavia; his children, Marvin III (Lakisha), Marsha, Tamyra, Tameka (Terence), Marcel and Marcus Swanson Jr.; his siblings, Marvina, Posie, June Watson and Robert Swanson; and his close friends, Robert Starling and Lawrence Johnson. He is also survived by his 18 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Congo Legacy Center (501 W 28th St, Wilmington, DE 19802). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
