We bid farewell to Marilyn Heidelberger MacEwen (Wilmington, Delaware), born in Seaford, New York, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 18, 2024 at the age of 93. Marilyn Heidelberger touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She is survived by: her spouse Dr. G. Dean MacEwen; her children, Kathy, Jane, Nancy, David and John; her grandchildren, Katherine, Sarah, Charlie, David, Brennan, Melissa, Doug, Harrison and Heather; and also Walter. She is also survived by nine great- grandchildren.
The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Dr. G. Dean and Mrs. Marilyn MacEwen Educational Fund at Nemours Children's Health, created by the family to continue Dr. MacEwen's legacy for educating future generations of leaders in pediatric orthopedic surgery nationally and worldwide.
