Marie Applegarth Obituary
With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Marie Applegarth of Wilmington, Delaware, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Marie left this world on January 12, 2025, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Jenocovich (Madeliene Shaw Jenocovich) and Madeleine Shaw Rockenbach; her aunt Barbara; her uncle Arthur Beaver; her siblings, Betty, Barbara, Stella, Fran, Billy, Eddie and John; her cousin Roberta; and her husband Charles Applegarth.
She is survived by: her sister Dorothy Velis; her children, Michael D. Applegarth, Roberta A. Leitner (Joseph), Charles G. Applegarth, Jon C. Applegarth and Thomas E. Applegarth (Margaret); her grandchildren, Gregory Applegarth, Christi Applegarth (Chris Nepi), Jared Applegarth, Joey Leitner (Sara), Brittney Johnston, Eric Hoffmeier (Shirl), Bryan Hoffmeier and Heather Applegarth; and her great grandchildren, Scarlette and Parker. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and grand nieces/nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Church of the Holy Child (2500 Naamans Rd, Wilmington, DE 19810). A Mass will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
