She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Frieda Pierce and Everett Pierce; her brothers, Earl and John; her husband Herbert E. Stone, Sr.; her daughters, Phylis L. Wood (Ron) of Wilmington and Patricia L. Stone (Robert Samuels) of Atlanta, GA; and her grandchildren, Ron Wood, III (Katie), Stephen Wood (Hoang) and Karin Bockrath (Brian). She was also cherished by seven great-grandchildren.
