We are sad to announce that on January 11, 2025, at the age of 51, Lara Lea Tozer of Wilmington, Delaware passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Billie Westergard; and her mother-in-law Beverly Tozer. She is survived by: her mother Sylvia Westergard of Newark, DE; her close friend Opie; her husband Christopher Tozer; her father-in-law Gordon Tozer (Mary Helen) of Elkton, MD; her siblings, Shelly Westergard of Wilmington, DE, Holly Westergard (Martin Lemon) of Wilmington, DE and Will Westergard (Patricia) of Newark, DE; her brothers-in-law, Mark Tozer of Elkton, MD and Brian Tozer (Barbara) of Wichita, KS.; her nieces and nephews, Anneleise Westergard (James Roberts), Brynee Lemon, Kristina Carter, Jennifer Tozer (James Johnson), Amanda Sullivan (Sean), Kimberly Tozer (Andrew Rinehardt), Rebecca Tozer (James Newswanger), Melissa Morganstern (Josh Higgins), Molly Tozer, Keiffer Westergard, Kyle Lemon, Tyler Westergard, Nathan Westergard and Gregory Tozer; and her aunt Sue Westergard.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Doherty Funeral Home - Pike Creek (3200 Limestone Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808). A memorial service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers or donations Lara would ask that you do something kind, feed a hungry cat, help an injured animal, give someone standing at the intersection a few dollars (they might need a drink more than you do), don't get mad at the guy that cut you off, it wasn't personal and you never know what they are going through in life.
