He was predeceased by: his parents, James Albert Satterfield and Margaret Farren Satterfield; his brothers, William and Robert Satterfield; and his sibling-in-law Jean Patricia Satterfield.
He is survived by: his spouse Jean Patricia Hitchens (Delawarean); his siblings, John (June) and Patricia Douglas (Dave); and his sisters-in-law, Gerry Satterfield and Theresa Satterfield. He is also survived by three nieces and four nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Newark Baptist Church, or to the Country Rest Home.
