He was predeceased by: his parents, Sabina Schofield (Clark) and Edward Schofield; his siblings, Edward, Joseph, Francis "Zeke", Helen Bogart, Alice Monagle, Patricia Bennett and Mary Davis; and his sons-in-law, Dennis Kane and Tim Solinger.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Schofield (Taggart); his children, Teresa Duricek (Pokey) of Millsboro, James F. Schofield, Jr. (Patty) of Lewes, DE, Anne Ewasko (Tommy) of Wilmington and Marie Kane (Christine Solinger) of Wilmington; his grandchildren, Teresa, Danny, Casey, Amanda, Katie, Megan, Tyler and Mollie; his great grandchildren, Cecilee, Juelian, Conor, Annika, Dominic, Brayden, Tobias, Alaina and Isabella; and his brother Paul Schofield of Wilmington. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
