She was predeceased by: her husband Paul Jeffers Thompson; and her son Michael (Karen Anderson). She is survived by: her children, Jane Rae (Thomas) and Timothy (Karen). She is also survived by seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Friends Home of Kennett Square, PA, where Jackie received compassionate care during the last two months of her life.
