He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Joan C. Hobbs; his children, Kimberly Hobbs-Modesto (John), George R. Hobbs, Jr (Aniko) and Rachel Hobbs Simpson (Marshall); his grandchildren, George III (Amanda), Emily (Michael), Tyler, Matthew (Mary Ellen), Melissa, Alex and Amy; and his brother Gordon Douglas Hobbs (Martha).
