It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward L. Loper Jr. of Wilmington, Delaware, who passed away on September 20, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Loper, and Viola Cooper Loper, Sr.; his siblings, Jean Marie Loper of Washington and Kenneth Lee Loper; his half-sister Mary Elizabeth Loper Brower; and also Muriel Loper Cochran.
He is survived by: his close friend Connie Kade; his children, Deborah Naylor, Jean Loper Warren (Curtis), Claudine Loper Wyatt, Edward Loper III and Jamie Loper; his sister-in-law Annie Loper; his nephews, James, Jr. of Washington, Jeffrey (Stephanie) of Washington, Steven (Connie) of Washington and Christopher Loper (Brooklyn); his cousin Richard Allen Williams; and his close friends, George Moody, Rodney Collins, Sr. and William "Billy" Wailes. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, forty great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.
