She was predeceased by: her parents, Gunnar Nelson and Beatrice Nelson; and her brothers, Gunnar "Butch" Nelson and Carl Nelson (Julian "Ace" Goad). She is survived by: her husband Ace; her sister Diane DeStafney; her children, Beatrice England (Howard), Ralph Heaps Jr. and Celeste Young (John); her stepdaughter Coleen Connellee; her grandchildren, Katherine (Rey), Kaylyn (Charlie), John (Caitlyn), Bradley and Lauren (Brandon); and her great grandchildren, Drake, Mia, Serenity, Alexis, Arya, Gavin, Emmett, Chloe, Reagan and Molly Grace.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Nichols-Gilmore Funeral Home (212 E Justis St, Wilmington, DE 19804). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
