She was predeceased by: her husband William Beckett; her parents, Giles Brooks and Clayton Brooks; her children, Willie-Henry Waller and Catherine Henry; her siblings, Nannie Ward, Early Brooks and Lawrence Brooks; her granddaughter Tamika Branner; her great grandchildren, Le'Asiah Price and Shontel Johnson; her son-in-law Willie L. Hollingsworth; and her friend Ronald Stoner.
She is survived by: her daughter Mary Hollingsworth of Wilmington, DE; her siblings, Martha Crews of Washington, DC, Ella Boyd of Newark, DE, Yvonne Sims of Halifax, VA, Barbara Butler of Newark and Alexander Brooks of Suitland, MD; and her son-in-law Ernest Henry. She is also survived by four grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren.
