He was predeceased by: his father Smith Hand; his wife Nellie Hand; and his daughter Barbara Ann Stites. He is survived by: his son Willis C. Hand Jr. (Lynn) of Dover; his son-in-law Fred Stites; his grandchildren, Melissa Soccio (Michael), Amy Durham (Jason), Taylor Queen (Aaron), Courtney Glatfelter (Wesley) and Matthew Stites (April); and his sisters, Viella Floyd, Eleanor Jones and Jean McGinnis. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
