It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia A. Hazlett (Smyrna, Delaware), who passed away on August 28, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Irving Atwell and Evelyn Stidham Atwell; and her siblings, Lewis Atwell, Mildred Wallace, James Atwell and Elizabeth Reed.
She is survived by: her husband David Hazlett; her son Sam Hazlett; her grandsons, Andy Dunn and Bobby Cunningham; her daughter Nancy Dunn (Larry Dunn) of Clayton, DE; her granddaughters, Dawn Hazlett Horsey (Kevin) and Amanda Stewart (Dan); her great grandchildren, Jacob, Logan, Zackary Horsey, Jacqueline, Andrew and Hunter Stewart; and her caregivers, Donna Tucker, Colleen Baltimore, Dawn Johnson, Missy Green and Bobbi North. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
