It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Verna Lee Nowell of Smyrna, Delaware, who passed away on May 31, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marie Edna Evans (Woodruff) and William Earl Woodruff; her sister Earlene Smallwood; and her nephew Stephen Gunter. She is survived by: her sister Ruby Blair (James) of Clayton; her daughter Shirley Watson (Stephen) of Smyrna; her grandchildren, Chace Madden of New Castle and Ross "Sage" Madden of Smyrna; and her sons, George McKee of Townsend and Brian McKee of Newark.
