She was predeceased by: her parents, Thaddeus Sutherland and Beatrice Sutherland; her siblings, Marjorie Simon and Emanuel John Sutherland; and her son John Garcia.
She is survived by: her sister Veronica Sutherland-Gittens; her children, Kathleen, Lester and Esther; and her daughters-in-law, Nancy Joseph and Helen Garcia. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 16 great- grandchildren, and many other family members and friends.
