He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. R. and Margaret Florence Spence; and his son Joshua Spence. He is survived by: his wife Kelly Lynn Spence (Johnstone) of Smyrna; his children, Rob Spence (Kellie) of Clayton, David Spence (Heidi) of Clayton and Kelsie Spence of Smyrna; his grandchildren, Brycen, Gentry, Gannon, Alexis and Shane; his siblings, George "Bunky" Spence (Kim) of Claymont, Sarah "Bootsie" Doemling of Smyrna and Alice "Cathy" Spence of Claymont; and his niece Mallory Stevens of Newark. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
