He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Albert, Betty Pierson and Jeanette Thompson. He is survived by: his son Michael James Reed Pierson; his parents, Edwin A. Pierson and Patricia A. E. T. Pierson of Myrtle Beach; and his grandfather John Elvin Thompson.
