He was predeceased by: his father Charles Edwin McNair; and his brothers, John McNair and Joe McNair. He is survived by: his wife Diana H. McNair; his children, James E McNair, Jr. (Katie Talarowski) of Wilmington, Delaware and Terri McNair (Lori) of Newark, Delaware; his stepson Donald Harmon (Patti) of Smyrna, Delaware; his grandchildren, Patrick McNair, Brenden McNair (Susan), Lauren McNair, Mike Ronig and Rebecca Hanlon (Jacob) of Middletown; his great grandchildren, Jacoby McNair of New Castle, Jacob, Jr., Madison, Gracie Hanlon of Middletown, Brynlee and Ella Harmon of Smyrna, Delaware; and his pets, Justice, Cindi and Sheba. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
