With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Hughie Michael Gentry (Smyrna, Delaware), born in Roxboro, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 1, 2024 at the age of 81. He was predeceased by: his mother Emily C. Gentry; his wife Brenda Brandon Gentry; his parent Guthrie Gentry; and his brother David Gentry. He is survived by: his sons, Jeffrey (Natalie Guiberson) of Chesapeake City, Stephen of Newark, Del, Russell (Wendy Evans) of Middletown and Brandon of Earleville; his grandchildren, Kayla Pressley (Elijah), Shannen Gavan (Chase), Trevor Gentry, Emily Gentry and Autumn Gentry; his great grandchildren, Kai Gavan and Ava Gavan; and his brother Timothy Gentry (Debra) of Roxboro, N. C..
