She was predeceased by: her grandson Donald Jr.; and also Lea Roberts. She is survived by: her children, Richard McElrath of Smyrna, Donald B. McElrath Sr. (Gwen) of Smyrna and Betty Thompson (Gary) of Townsend; and her brother Ralph Hammond of Burnsville, NC. She is also survived by three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
