He was predeceased by: his children, Sharlene Bartsch and Charles Staats III. He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his daughters, Rosalie Martin (Pierce), Jeannine Staats and Teresa Swartz (John); and his caregiver Buster. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home (212 N Broad St, Middletown, DE 19709). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
