It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alfred M. Shane Jr. (Smyrna, Delaware), who passed away on January 4, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Sr. Shane and Emma Shane (Bailey); his siblings, Franklin, Melvin Shane, Mary Ellen Jenkins and Emma Jean Johnson; and his stepdaughter Phyllis Hamilton.
He is survived by: his wife Doris L. Shane; his children, Theresa Rawley (Donnie), Carol Knight (Michael), Brenda Shane and Jeff Shane (Linda); and his siblings, Betty Blanchfield, Donald, Douglas and Larry Shane. He is also survived by wives, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a contribution to Vitas Hospice of Newark in his name would be appreciated.
