She was predeceased by: her parents, James Wainwright and Nettie Mills Wainwright; her husband Nelson VanVorst; her siblings, Margaret Wainwright Turnbull (John), Elizabeth Wainwright Ellis (A'Delbert) and Silas Wainwright (Frances); and her niece Diana Ellis Halpen (Al).
She is survived by: her nephews, James Ellis (Sue) and Clayton Wainwright (Barbara); her siblings-in-law, Norma VanVorst Warner (Alvin), James VanVorst (Myra) and Robert VanVorst (Gladys); and her pet Booty.
