He is survived by: his wife Valery Thornton; his children, Becky Miller, Todd Miller (Carol) and Clara Daining (Jim); his grandchildren, Sarah, Emily, Christopher, Jack, May and Ella; and his great grandchildren, Ellie and Ollie.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Seaford, Delaware.
