With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David Michael Jones of Seaford, Delaware, born in Lewes, Delaware, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 9, 2025 at the age of 68. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Jones and Beatrice A. Wells (Wright); his siblings, Danny Wright, John Wright, Jr., Thomas Wright, Carol Littleton and Rhonda Doerhing; his stepfather John T. Wright, Sr.; and his grandmother Mary Jane Marvel.
He is survived by: his sisters, Gail Verley of Seaford and Linda Stevenson of Georgetown, DE; his former wife Linda E. Jones of Seaford, DE; his children, David M. Jones, Jr. and Tiffany L. Jones; and his grandchildren, Brandon M. Jones of Seaford, DE, Kaleb M. Jones Tiana L. of Seaford, DE, Rippel of Seaford, DE, Vontrell L. Fitchett of Seaford, DE, Kevin S. Jones of Seaford, DE, Mai'lonie Jones of Seaford, DE and Taylor Laughman of Pennsylvania. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; 25 nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Bennie Smith Funeral Home - Seaford (437 N Front St, Seaford, DE 19973). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
