He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Catherine Leonard Scott; his children, Walter David Scott III, Timothy Leonard Scott and Susan Elizabeth Scott Brodsky (Michael Brodsky); his grandchildren, Parker Scott Slaton (Peter), Kelsey Scott DeTroia (Matthew), Timothy Scott, Jr., Ryan Scott (Brooke), David Brodsky (Stephanie) and Zachary Brodsky (Kumiko); his great grandchildren, Cole Slaton, Ibbie Slaton, John Hawley Slaton, Brooks Slaton, Peter Brodsky and Price DeTroia; and his parent Dodie.
