Mildred L. Howerton Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mildred L. Howerton of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on January 4, 2022 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Thayer and Eleanor Thayer (Ridgely). She is survived by: her husband Elmer W. Howerton; her sons, Gary Howerton and Craig Howerton; her siblings, Mary Thelma Van Horn, Margaret Caroline Cross, Dorothy Irwin of Virginia and Richard Ridgely Thayer; her children, Brian T. Howerton and Janice L. Howerton McNamee; and her grandchildren, Mark Hutchison, Darryl Anderson, Yvonne Howerton Tafoya, Teresa Howerton Jonas, Stacey Howerton Thomas, Matthew Wroe, Kelly McMahon, Laura Wilson, Lindsay Howerton and Lauren Howerton. She is also survived by 17 great- grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, our mother has asked for donations to be sent to The Lutheran Church of Our Savior, or for a charity of your choice in Millie's name.
